When Hurricane Harvey struck in 2017, it brought catastrophic flooding and affected 13 million people. Hospitals and clinics were overrun with patients and the elderly and functionally disabled population were especially affected.
Shelters were in urgent need of medical items and the generous people of the South Plains came together and donated wheelchairs, canes, walkers, and crutches. Purpose Medical Mission collected these items and sent them to shelters in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio.
